Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis) is a perennial plant originally found in North Africa. It grows mainly in hot and dry conditions and is resistant in arid climates. When leaves are cut off the plant, you can see the fresh gel-like pulp found on the inside that helps the plant survive in extremely dry conditions.
This fresh pulp is loaded with precious active ingredients: it contains at least 160 natural components* including carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and essential amino acids which are in high affinity with the skin.

Aloe vera is a symbol of immortality and was chosen because it hydrates the skin while protecting and soothing it. The fresh pulp is loaded with carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, and essential amino acids, making aloe vera a miracle plant for the skin. INNOVATION: Pure Aloe Vera Juice
SO’BiO étic® has selected pure juice extracted directly from the heart of fresh leaves of aloe berbadensis, without undergoing any type of chemical processing, in order to preserve the rich content in active ingredients. The juice preserves all of the active ingredients contained in aloe vera (no less than 55 components) which is not the case for the freeze-dried aloe vera powder currently used in cosmetics. Pure aloe vera juice hydrates, soothes and repairs the skin, amongst other virtues.
Organic Quality
The use of chemical fertilizers considerably increases the amount of water contained in the leaves. Consequently, the plant is less rich in active ingredients, reducing their effect. Therefore, by choosing organic aloe vera, SO’BiO étic® is not only respectful of the environment, it is also ensuring the highest quality for its cosmetic products by using this precious ingredient in its most powerful form.
SO’BiO étic® Aloe Vera
The aloe vera chosen by SO’BiO étic® is organic and comes from the fair trade sector in Mexico. The Fair for Life certification shows that the aloe vera has been supplied in accordance with fair trade policies: equitable pricing, fair and socially responsible working conditions, respect for the environment and human rights, reinvestment of benefits at the community level (well drilling and power supply to farms, pre-financing of harvests, etc.)
Furthermore, SO’BiO étic® has chosen sustainably farmed aloe vera: it is grown and harvested manually. Only the largest most developed exterior leaves of the plant are used, in order to ensure new leaves will continue to grow on the same plant for 5 to 7 years. After that period of time, the plants are removed and the field is replanted with leguminous plants to replenish the soil. Once the soil is replenished, the field is once again used to grow aloe vera.
