WHITE LILY
White Lily: A force of nature
The White Lily (Lilium candidum) is an herbaceous plant native to the East, currently found in the Mediterranean region, Europe and Southwest Asia.
It blooms in spring and summer from May to September.
Its flowering stem grows to around 1.2 meters in height and ends in a raceme of 3 to 10 large, fragrant white flowers made up of 6 tepals (3 identical petals and 3 identical sepals) which curve outwards.
A long pistil grows in the center, surrounded by 6 stamens with golden-yellow pollen-covered anthers.
Its fruit is a three-celled capsule containing numerous flat seeds.
What are the benefits of White Lily?
Lily extract, created from the flowering part and bulb, has antioxidant and unifying properties. It contains polyphenols that even out the complexion.
For even greater anti-dark spot efficacy, we have combined it with 2 equally powerful active ingredients:
– Stabilized Vitamin C, or ascorbyl glucoside: Of natural origin and obtained from biotechnology to act on visible dark spots and prevent the formation of all types of marks. It is more stable than pure vitamin C and ensures optimal efficacy over time.
– MelaninCorrect®: Extracted from rainbow wrack, an alga named for the iridescent colors that become visible when immersed in water, it acts to prevent and reduce dark spots.
The LÉA NATURE SO’BiO étic White Lily
The White Lily bulb we have chosen is hand-picked. It is grown at a family-run farm in France located in the Landes region. So, by purchasing this bulb, we are also supporting a local producer.
In the spirit of this same commitment to local and ethical sourcing, the rainbow wrack used alongside White Lily in our trio of Lumi’Lys active ingredients is also sourced through a local supply chain in Brittany, which harvests by hand in compliance with a charter of good practices to avoid depleting the resource and preserve the natural environment in which it grows.
