A Force of Nature

Renamed the « Tree of Paradise », the pomegranate (punica granatum) is a shrub originally found in the Middle East.  It is grown everywhere in the world in tropical and subtropical climates for its fruit and bright red flowers.    The fruit has a thick and tough outer skin.  Its abundant seeds are naturally protected and contain the oil and its precious virtues.

Pomegranate is a symbol of life and fertility, while its flower represents intense love.
The root was used by Egyptian physicians at the time of pharaohs, while the skin was considered to be curative in the Caribbean, and it is still used for its medical applications in Guadeloupe.
Pomegranate is a choice anti-aging active ingredient in treatments for mature and damaged skin. It is loaded with antioxidant polyphenols. Traditionally known for its hydrating, exfoliating, and invigorating virtues, pomegranate is the ally of dry skin and brings radiance to dull skin.

Pomegranate Oil

Pomegranate oil is obtained by cold pressing the seeds, which fully preserves the active ingredients and their benefits.   Pomegranate oil is known to have high concentrations of active ingredients.  Punicic acid (over 65%) is the specific unsaturated fatty acid for this oil, which is known for its soothing properties.  It is loaded with antioxydants, including tocopherols, which protect the skin from free radicals.  This nourishing oil regenerates and repairs the skin gently.
